Extraordinary Claims
Phil Schneider was a geologist and structural engineer who claimed, from the early 1990s until his death in 1996, to have participated in the construction of deep underground military bases (DUMBs) on behalf of the U.S. government. He alleged that these bases were partly inhabited by alien beings and that a violent confrontation — in which he was injured — had occurred between military personnel and alien beings at the Dulce, New Mexico facility in 1979.
Schneider began speaking publicly about these claims in 1993, giving lectures and interviews in which he described specific technologies, underground facilities, and government cover-up operations. He displayed physical scars he attributed to the Dulce encounter.
Death and Questions
Schneider was found dead in his apartment in January 1996, officially ruled a suicide. His supporters have argued that the circumstances — and the pattern of his public accusations — suggest foul play. His claims have never been independently verified, and many researchers categorise them as unverifiable or fabricated. He nevertheless remains a frequently cited figure in discussions of government underground programmes and alien contact, precisely because of the specificity and consistency of his accounts before his death.
