The Shift

Dr. Michio Kaku is a theoretical physicist, co-founder of string field theory, and one of the world's most recognised science communicators. For much of his career he maintained a sceptical public stance on UAP. Beginning around 2021, coinciding with the Pentagon's official acknowledgement of UAP videos and congressional testimony, Kaku significantly shifted his public position.

Kaku has stated in multiple interviews that the UAP evidence — particularly the performance characteristics documented in military footage — warrants serious scientific investigation and cannot be dismissed as misidentification or weather phenomena. He has argued that the possibility of extraterrestrial or interdimensional origin deserves genuine academic attention.

Mainstream Validation

Kaku's shift is significant precisely because of his mainstream credibility. His willingness to engage seriously with UAP — on major broadcast networks and in books including The God Equation — has helped move the conversation from fringe to mainstream in a way that few individual voices could.
