The Invisible College

Dr. Diana Pasulka is a Professor of Religious Studies at the University of North Carolina Wilmington whose research has taken her deep into the intersection of UAP, technology, and belief. Her book American Cosmic (2019) explores what she calls the "Invisible College" — a network of Silicon Valley technologists, scientists, and government insiders who privately believe the UAP phenomenon is real and are working on related technologies, often without public acknowledgement.

Pasulka was given access to classified or sensitive materials and facilities as part of her research — experiences she documents in detail — including visits to alleged crash retrieval sites. Her academic background in religion and mythology gives her a unique analytical lens: she is interested in how the UAP phenomenon functions as a belief system and how that belief is shaping technological development.

A Different Angle

Pasulka does not advocate for or against any specific explanation of UAP. Instead she maps the sociological and epistemic landscape of those who believe they have direct knowledge of the phenomenon — an analysis that reveals the UAP question as deeply intertwined with questions of power, secrecy, and human meaning-making.
